Great food, atmosphere, and service!! Truly made mine and my husband anniversary dinner a specular event!
Great dining experience. The burger was great and the Top Shelf whiskey flight did not disappoint 👌🏽
Absolutely delicious food, excellent cocktails, and the atmosphere is superb. We love coming to Gunnison to eat at blackstock.
I don't get why anyone said the food was delicious. I ordered the salmon, son ordered the filet, and husband and daughter ordered the sliders. Beautiful plating. Excellent ambience. Decent service. Saw the prices and thought, I bet this will be so delicious! Saw the reviews and all that. Wow. I have no idea how, but this food was utterly terrible. The old fashioned I had to start was also the very worst old fashioned I've ever had. It tasted basically like a shot of bitters. The food on my plate had a strange flavor as everything tasted the same. I suppose the sliders were enjoyed by my daughter but my husband said his were terrible as well. Cost of a dish is between 25 and 35 for most entrees. I would not eat this food again if it were free. Please cook better. I can't imagine serving guests this food. However, I guess some people do like it. This is just my honest opinion, I hated every bite of food I had. Chili's is about ten times better that's how bad the food was. I really get nauseous even thinking about it. I know it all looks pretty, but it all tastes bland and fairly flavorless. If you're from the North, it might be right up your alley as the closest thing I've had to this terrible was when I lived in Washington state. (East side).
This review is solely on the surprise menu for Valentine’s Day, I was stoked to see vday line up with ramen night! However, they changed her the menu for the holiday. Usually not a big deal, we stayed for the meal. Looking at the menu: you can get seafood or two options; an appetizer or an entree for $200. My partner cannot eat seafood, chose the appetizer, and we ended up sending it back for the plate is expected to be served with raw cold meat despite the vague menu description. $100 tab for pure disappointment. Blackstock has gotten rewards for their ramen… WHY CHANGE THAT? We love our small town local fancy restaurant with fantastic food and service. Again this review is solely on the surprise menu change for a holiday, all other great reviews perfectly reflect the restaurant.
My friend and I walked in at 9:25 to attempt to eat at Blackstock Bistro and were told very rudely by the servers and host there that they stopped serving food at 9 o’clock- that wouldn’t be an issue at all if that was stated anywhere on their website that they stop serving food an hour before they close. It was a waste of our time and the host was not the least bit apologetic. The service at Taco Bell is better.
First and foremost incredible staff, they were able to work in a somewhat last minute reservation for a party of six with just a few hours notice, ON SPRING BREAK❗️Incredible communication👏🏻👏🏻‼️Most of the people at our table opted for the fish and chips “small plate”, fyi not small, everyone enjoyed their fish, I sampled it too and thought it was really good, nice and crispy. I had a “small plate” of the scallops and they were very tasty and the sauces complimented them well. I also had a side that was great. I had to try a few of the taco Tuesday specials, one was the hangar steak and the other was the mahi-mahi, both were good but the steak was special. Lastly the $5 Tuesday margarita’s were a nice surprise for a mountain town during spring break. Great job y’all
A favorite, must-try spot in Gunnison. Excellent for happy hour specials, smaller plates, cocktails and desserts!
Surprisingly, the unassuming Shisito Peppers might be the best dish—original and tasty with just the right amount of kick.
The gelato is also so good you’ll want to order two bowls, but any of their desserts will leave you satisfied.
Great digs too, very laidback, retaining an old mountain saloon feel but with a modern (but not too forced) twist.
So whether you’re from the area or just visiting for the beautiful outdoor surroundings, you won’t regret checking out Blackstock.
